TheFormTool, LLC, maker of a Microsoft Word document automation add-in TheFormTool, is hosting a webinar “Visualizing Document automation: Five Steps for Success” on July 31. The registration link is here. If you have not seen what this tool can do, I recommend attending the webinar to get introduced to the tool.
I have spent many hours over the last few years working with and developing forms in TheFormTool. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this tool, it is a plug-in for Microsoft Word. The basic concept is that you add a FormTool Question and Answer table to a form that you would normally copy and paste answers to. In the table, you ask the form user to type answers to questions like “what is the client’s name?” in the answer field. TheFormTool then takes those answers and puts them in appropriate places in the form.
Part of the value-add from TheFormTool is that it can take things much further by inserting correct pronouns, adjusting for singular, plural, and the like. It does take some work to “code” the documents, but the more you use it, the more you see possibilities. It is one of my favorite tools. Feel free to contact me with questions and I can help you get started.
